Vienna
by: Billy Joel
Slow down you crazy child
You're so ambitious for a juvenile
But then if you're so smart tell me why are you still so afraid?
Where's the fire, what's the hurry about?
You better cool it off before you burn it out
You got so much to do and only
So many hours in a day
But you know that when the truth is told
That you can get what you want
Or you can just get old
You're gonna kick off before you even get halfway through
When will you realize...Vienna waits for you
Slow down you're doing fine
You can't be everything you want to be
Before your time
Although it's so romantic on the borderline tonight (tonight)
Too bad but it's the life you lead
You're so ahead of yourself
That you forgot what you need
Though you can see when you're wrong
You know you can't always see when you're right(you're right)
You got your passion you got your pride
But don't you know that only fools are satisfied?
Dream on but don't imagine they'll all come true
When will you realize
Vienna waits for you
Slow down you crazy child
Take the phone off the hook and disappear for a while
It's alright you can afford to lose a day or two
When will you realize...
Vienna waits for you.
And you know that when the truth is told
That you can get what you want
Or you can just get old
You're gonna kick off before you even get halfway through
Why don't you realize...Vienna waits for you
When will you realize...Vienna waits for you
This song is based on a tripp Billy Joel went on when he visited his father in Italy. One day he saw an old woman sweeping a public street with great pride, and it made an impression. He wanted people to realize that there is time in life to accomplish our goals and everything doesn't have to be at a break-neck speed. Instead of fearing old age as we do here, it should be anticipated and valued. So, instead of rushing to accomplish everything in youth you should remember, "Vienna waits for you."
Welcome To My Life lyrics
Songwriters: Bouvier, Pierre; Comeau, Charles-Andre;
Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place?
Like somehow you just don't belong
And no one understands you
Do you ever wanna run away?
Do you lock yourself in your room?
With the radio on, turned up so loud
That no one hears you screaming
No you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels alright
You don't know what it's like, to be like me
To be hurt, to feel lost, to be left out in the dark
To be kicked, when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
When no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life
Do you wanna be somebody else?
Are you sick of feeling so left out?
Are you desperate to find something more
Before your life is over?
Are you stuck inside a world you hate?
Are you sick of everyone around?
With the big fake smiles and stupid lies
Well deep inside you're bleeding
No you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels alright
You don't know what it's like to be like me
To be hurt, to feel lost, to be left out in the dark
To be kicked, when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
When no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life
No one ever lies straight to your face
And no one ever stabbed you in the back
You might think I'm happy but I'm not gonna be okay
Everybody always gave you what you wanted
You never had to work it was always there
You don't know what it's like, what it's like
To be hurt, to feel lost, to be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
When no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like
To be hurt, to feel lost, to be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
When no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life
This song was written by Simple Plan and it mainly tells about the life of a teenager. Welcome to My Life is about a teen talking to there parent(s) about how life is. Teens ,like us, are starting to change and are starting to want to move away from our parents. We feel like our parents do not understand everything we have to go through. Every day teens are being bullied or are going through problems they can not talk about. Teens are always wanting more from life, weather its freedom or the salvation we can not seem to find in everyday life. As young adults we also do not want people telling us when we can or can not do something. All in all, this teenager wants to be heard and understood.
To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven
A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep
To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven
A time to build up,a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together
To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven
A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing
To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven
A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace, I swear it's not too late
This song was written by the Byrds. It's based on a passage from the bible about life and the world. The passage describes how there's a time for one thing and a time for another. For example, while there is a time of war going on there will be a time of peace to follow. While there is a time to begin something, there is a time to end it. When there is a time to build something, there may be a time to bring it down. There is a time for everything in the cycle of the world. The song is also saying that it's never too late to have peace. "A time for peace, I swear it's not too late". While a lot of people may think that war is the only option at the time, there is always a chance for peace and to work things out in a better way.The Byrds added the turn turn turn part to add a nice melody and flow to the song.

This song was written by the Black Eyed Peas, and this song is call I Got a Feeling. I Got a Feeling was debuted on May 21, 2009, and the song sold over 5,561,000 copies and is supposedly the highest selling single ever in the United States. This is a quote, saying from where the inspiration came.
Quote: "This song is dedicated to everyone who is getting ready to go out. It's the song to listen to when you drive to the club or party. It's the song to listen to after a long day or week at work. It's the song to that makes me wanna throw my stress away..."
Today is gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now
Backbeat the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody feels
The way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk along are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
I don't know how
Because maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me '
And after all
You're my Wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day'
But they'll never throw it back to you
[ Wonderwall lyrics from
http://www.lyricsyoulove.com/o/oasis/wonderwall/ ]By now you should've somehow
Realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do
About you now
And all the roads that lead you there are winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
I don't know how
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me '
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one who saves me '
And after all
You're my wonderwall
Said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
This song was originally performed by Oasis, but i perfer the version sung by Ryan Adams. Its a much slower version but it enables you to hear and understand the complex sayings in this song. The Press said that this sing was written for Noel Gallaghers(song writer) girlfriend at the time. After a few years when him and his girlfriend has a nasty break up, he claimed it was not written for her but for an imaginary friend that he was never going to be able to come in contact with.
Therapy by All Time Low:
My ship went down
In a sea of sound
When I woke up alone
I had everything
A hand full of moments
I wished I could change
and a tounge like a nightmare
That cut like a blade
In a city of fools
I was careful and cool
but they tore me apart like a hurricane
A hand full of moments
I wished I could change
but I was carried away
Give me therapy
I'm a walking travesty
But I'm smiling on everything
Therapy you were never a friend to me
and you can keep all your misery
My lungs gave out
as I faced the crowd
I think that keeping this up can be dangerous
I'm flesh and bone
I'm a rolling stone
And the experts say I'm delirious
Give me therapy
I'm a walking travesty
But I'm smiling on everything
Therapy you were never a friend to me
and you can take back your misery
Arrogent boy
love yourself so no one has to
They're better off without you
(They're better off without you)
Arrogent boy
Cause a scene like your supposed to
They'll fall asleep without you
You're lucky if your memory remains
Give me therapy
I'm a walking travesty
But I'm smiling at everything
Therapy you were never a friend to me
You can take back your misery
Therapy
I'm a walking travesty
But I'm smiling at everything
Therapy you were never a friend to me
and you can choke on your misery
This song was written by Alex Gaskarth after his brother committed suicide. The song is expressing Alex's feelings towards the news of his brother dying. Alex is sad that his brother died, but at the same time he's angry at his brother for causing him and his family so much pain. This song can also be about how the band All Time Low is getting more and more famous each year and how some members of the band cannot deal with the sudden fame. "Therapy" has many similes in the beginning of the song and personification is used within the song as well.
Friends and Lovers: Madina Lake
When I'm afraid the better days are never coming again.
I imagine your face, and I keep on moving.
I'm bound to cry, destined to fly.
And guaranteed to die.
But till the end I've got your face.
And I keep on moving.
I lost my mom when I was only twelve.
I was robbed with a gun when I was twenty-one.
I crashed my car when I was drunk again.
And now, got no friends got no money.
But I keep on learning.
You can build a life and have it broken down.
You can chose a path and get turned around.
You can hate yourself and fall in love again.
As for me, I've lost friends lost lovers.
But I still got my soul.
When I'm afraid the better days are never coming again.
I imagine your face, and I keep on moving.
I'm bound to win I'm bound to loose.
And all the way I have to choose.
Sometimes it's right more times it's wrong.
But I keep on moving.
You can build a life and have it broken down.
You can chose your path and get turned around
You can hate yourself and fall in love again.
As for me, I've lost friends, lost lovers.
But I still got my soul.
In a journey through my head.
I stumble on a mess.
The bad things from my past.
Are buried not dead.
They haunt you like ghosts.
Begging me to let 'em go.
But they make me who I am.
And I wouldn't change anything.
You can build a life and have it broken down.
You can chose a path and get turned around.
You can hate yourself and fall in love again.
As for me, I've lost friends lost lovers.
But I still got my soul (3x)
I like this song and think it is interesting because it is very inspirational and encouraging. The lyrics are all about not forgetting who you are and where you came from and even though some things might have happened to you, you still have to keep going and push through it. The song, in a way, teaches you about life and how to live it, with your head held high.
Life After You by: Daughtry
;
Ten miles from town and I just broke down
Spittin' out smoke on the side of the road
I'm out here alone just tryin' to get home
To tell you I was wrong but you already know
Believe me I won't stop at nothin'
To see you so I've started runnin'
All that I'm after is a life full of laughter
As long as I'm laughin' with you
I'm thinkin' that all that still matters is love ever after
After the life we've been through
'Cause I know there's no life after you
Last time we talked, the night that I walked
Burns like an iron in the back of my mind
I must've been high to say you and I
Weren't meant to be and just wastin' my time
Oh, why did I ever doubt you?
You know I would die here without you
All that I'm after is a life full of laughter
As long as I'm laughin' with you
I'm thinkin' that all that still matters is love ever after
After the life we've been through
'Cause I know there's no life after you
You and I, right or wrong, there's no other one
After this time I spent alone
It's hard to believe that a man with sight could be so blind
Thinkin' 'bout the better times, must've been outta my mind
So I'm runnin' back to tell you
All that I'm after is a life full of laughter
Without you God knows what I'd do, yeah
All that I'm after is a life full of laughter
As long as I'm laughin' with you
I'm thinkin' 'bout all that still matters is love ever after
After the life we've been through, yeah
Know there's no life after you
Know there's no life after you
Know there's no life after you
Know there's no life after you
Know there's no life after you
Know there's no life after you
Know there's no life after you
Know there's no life after you, yeah
This song was written by Daughtry and it is describing his mistakes. It talks about how he told the girl he loves that they were not meant to be. He later realizes that he made a big mistake.
Kids, MGMT
You were a child,
crawlin' on your knees toward it.
Makin' mama so proud,
but your voice was too loud.
We like to watch you laughing.
You pick the insects off plants.
No time to think of consequences.
Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.
Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.
The water is warm,
but it's sending me shivers.
A baby is born,
crying out for attention.
Memories fade,
like looking through a fogged mirror
Decision to decisions are made and not bought
But I thought,
this wouldn't hurt a lot.
I guess not.
Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.
Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.
Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.
Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.
Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.
Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of treeeees......
This song can be interprited in different ways, but the way that I interpreted it was this: Childhood and immaturity sould be held on to. Growing up too fast can be dangerous and bad. One sould also not abuse childhood and "take only what you need from it". I believe that Kids is a good song to read as poetry.
Viva La Vida
By: ColdPlay
used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listened as the crowd would sing
Now the old king is dead long live the king
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
Missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you'd gone there was never
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world
It was a wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become
Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh who would ever want to be king?
I hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know St Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
Hear Jerusalem bells a-ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know St Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
Viva La Vida is a song by the English rock/alternative band of Coldplay. This song was released as the title song of an album by Coldplay in 2006. One thing that is kind ofinteresting about Viva la Vida is that it was Coldplay's first number one hit song in both the United States and the United Kingdom, based on the number of people who downloaded it alone.

The Call
By: Regina Spektor
It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into a hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word
And then that word grew louder and louder
'Til it was a battle cry
I'll come back
When you call me
No need to say goodbye
Just because everything's changing
Doesn't mean it's never
Been this way before
All you can do is try to know
Who your friends are
As you head off to the war
Pick a star on the dark horizon
And follow the light
You'll come back
When it's over
No need to say good bye
You'll come back
When it's over
No need to say good bye
Now we're back to the beginning
It's just a feeling and no one knows yet
But just because they can't feel it too
Doesn't mean that you have to forget
Let your memories grow stronger and stronger
'Til they're before your eyes
You'll come back
When they call you
No need to say good bye
You'll come back
When they call you
No need to say good bye
The song was written for The Chronicals of Narnia (prince caspian) Its saying how when you leave Narnia you cant come back again. (or wherever you left) And how even though you want to come back you cant, and the place you left calls to you (first few lines) And now the place is shouting at you to come back. But I also think it could mean something about friendship. And how friends are always there for you, and that you dont need to say goodbye because there are right there to help you through everything.
The End By The Doors
This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes...again
Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need...of some...stranger's hand
In a...desperate land
Lost in a Roman...wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane
All the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain, yeah
There's danger on the edge of town
Ride the King's highway, baby
Weird scenes inside the gold mine
Ride the highway west, baby
Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake is long, seven miles
Ride the snake...he's old, and his skin is cold
The west is the best
The west is the best
Get here, and we'll do the rest
The blue bus is callin' us
The blue bus is callin' us
Driver, where you taken' us
The killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where his sister lived, and...then he
Paid a visit to his brother, and then he
He walked on down the hall, and
And he came to a door...and he looked inside
Father, yes son, I want to kill you
Mother...I want to...
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
And meet me at the back of the blue bus
Doin' a blue rock
On a blue bus
Doin' a blue rock
C'mon, yeah
Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill
This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end
It hurts to set you free
But you'll never follow me
The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die
This is the end
This song was originally written about a girlfriend of JIm Morrisons but then as it progressed the meaning changed many times. He also was tripping on LSD for the majority of the first live preformances of this song. This song got them fired from their jobs at playing at the Whiskey A Go Go bar.
Matchbox twenty
"How Far We've Come"
Hello
Hello
Hello
Waking up at the start of the end of the world,
But it's feeling just like every other morning before,
Now I wonder what my life is going to mean if it's gone,
The cars are moving like a half a mile an hour
And I started staring at the passengers who're waving goodbye
Can you tell me what was ever really special about me all this time?
I believe the world is burning to the ground
Oh well I guess we're gonna find out
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
Well I believe it all is coming to an end
Oh well, I guess, we're gonna pretend,
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
I think it turned ten o'clock but I don't really know
And I can't remember caring for an hour or so
Started crying and I couldn't stop myself
I started running but there's no where to run to
I sat down on the street took a look at myself
Said where you going man you know the world is headed for hell
Say your goodbyes if you've got someone you can say goodbye to
I believe the world is burning to the ground
Oh well I guess we're gonna find out
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
Well I, believe, it all, is coming to an end
Oh well, I guess, we're gonna pretend,
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
It's gone, gone, baby, it's all gone
There is no one on the corner and there's no one at home
It was cool cool, it was just all cool
Now it's over for me and it's over for you
Well it's gone, gone, baby, it's all gone
There is no one on the corner and there's no one at home
Well it was cool cool, it was just all cool
Now it's over for me and it's over for you
I believe the world is burning to the ground
Oh well I guess we're gonna find out
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
Well I, believe, it all, is coming to an end
Oh well, I guess, we're gonna pretend,
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
Let's see how far we've come
This song is based on the end of the world, doomsday. But this song has alot of irony and hyperbole's, so there alot of decoding to do. But really this song is about a normal persons, normal day. Starting with the frist line "Waking up at the start of the end of the world" its irony, the line is really saying..in a way waking up every morning and turning on your tv to the news and seeing all the top storys. Seeing how sad they are and how the reporters make every story seem like the end of the world. That how this song is about someones day and you cant change the world on your own.
Unity by Trevor Hall and Matisyahu
Take me to the table where we all dine together
Pluck me from the crowd and return me to my sender
Whatever path you follow push on to tomorrow
Love all, serve all and create no sorrow
So many rivers but they all reach the sea
They're telling me he's different but I just don't believe it
Love is the goal, yes and everyone shall reach it
Who ever seeks it
Seen and unseen
I don't wanna a reason anymore about the one I love, the one I love
I don't wanna reason anymore about God above, God above
I just wanna melt away, in all its grace
Drift away into that sacred place
Where there's no more you and me, no more they and we, just unity...
Well I don't wanna count the leaves of the mango tree
I just wanna taste it's sweetness
you can't defeat this above and beneath this.
Come one and all, come stand tall
And whatever your approach, dance or meditation
If you got love and longing you shall reach the station
The final road the supreme abode
In this city all hearts shine like gold
{Matisyahu's verse}-
He Prays sitting, she prays standing,
Some sit quiet, while others stand demanding.
Just fan the flames of love.
some say he's below, some say he's above.
It's unknown, when the king sits down upon his throne.
some chant songs some pray with beads,
some wake at midnight cuz the heart it bleeds,
some souls scream to the demons ,leave me be!
I don't wanna a reason anymore about the one I love, the one I love
I don't wanna reason anymore about God above, God above
I just wanna melt away, in all its grace
Drift away into that sacred place
Where there's no more you and me, no more they and we, just unity.
Jesus, Buddha, Moses, and Guaranga.
All dance around, dancing on your thunder
Drunk on the wine of love for thee
Well tell me when will I be blessed to join their blissful company
And blissful company goes from sea to sea
From the depths of the valley to the mountain peaks
{Matisyahu's verse}-
Every moment, minute, hour to hour
Just a gift I need keep and cause a riff
We need to lift each other my brother and give love to another
Wanna bust the bubble I know there's rubbage and rubble
We don't need no more trouble
Arms fall away and so I say
So many stories and so many fables of how the king sings
of how the wall wails
In Jerusalem to the Holy Himalayas
From Mount Zion to the hills of Jamaica
All land is holy, all land is sacred
All shall leave this world completely naked, completely naked, completely....
I don't wanna a reason anymore about the one I love, the one I love
I don't wanna reason anymore about God above, God above
I just wanna melt away, in all its grace
Drift away into that sacred place
Where there's no more you and me, no more they and we, just unity.
This song talks about akot of importance like world peace and equality and i believe everyone should try and follow what they say. This will help eliminate racism, descrimination, and war all around the world.
You Get What You Give
by: New Radicals
Wake up kids
We've got the dreamers disease
Age 14 we got you down on your knees
So polite, you're busy still saying please
Fri - enemies, who when you're down ain't your friend
Every night we smash their Mercedes - Benz
First we run and then we laugh till we cry
But when the night is falling
And you cannot find the light
If you feel your dream is dying
Hold tight
You've got the music in you
Don't let go
You've got the music in you
One dance left
This world is gonna pull through
Don't give up
You've got a reason to live
Can't forget you only get what you give
Four a. m. we ran a miracle mile
Were flat broke but hey we do it in style
The bad rich
God's flying in for your trial
This whole damn world can fall apart
You'll be ok follow your heart
You're in harms way
I'm right behind
Now say youre mine
Fly high
What's real can't die
You only get what you give
Just dont be afraid to leave
Health insurance rip off lying FDA big bankers buying
Fake computer crashes dining
Cloning while they're multiplying
Fashion mag shoots
With the aid of 8 dust brothers Beck, Hanson
Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson
You're all fakes
Run to your mansions
Come around
We'll kick your ass in!
Don't let go
One dance left
{unsaid lyrics from liner}
Championed by a soulless media misleading
People unaware they're bleeding
No one with a brain is believing
It's so sad you lost the meaning
Never knew it anyway
Human natures so predictable
I'm a fool to do your dirty work whoa, whoa
This song sort of gives a happy feeling to you when you listen to it, but it displays a further message. To always know that you do get what you give so always be thankful. Also its just telling kids to enjoy their lives and to make the most of it.
Leave Out All The Rest
by: Linkin Park
I dreamed I was missing
You were so scared
But no one would listen
'Cause no one else cared
After my dreaming
I woke with this fear
What am I leaving
When I'm done here?
So if you're asking me
I want you to know
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
And don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest, leave out all the rest
Don't be afraid
I've taken my beating
I've shed but I'm me
I'm strong on the surface
Not all the way through
I've never been perfect
But neither have you
So if you're asking me
I want you to know
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
Don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest, leave out all the rest
Forgetting all the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well
Pretending someone else can come
And save me from myself
I can't be who you are
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
Don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest, leave out all the rest
Forgetting all the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well
Pretending someone else can come
And save me from myself
I can't be who you are
I can't be who you are
The main idea of the song is that you should not have any worries in your life. You shouldn't be spending you life on worrying on if you are going to be remembered when you are gone. There is no reason why anybody should worry about that because no matter who you may be everyone is going to leave a mark in someone elses life.
For my project I am analyzing "strawberry Fields Forever" written by John Lennon:
Let me take you down
?Cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields
Nothing is real
And nothing to get hung about
Strawberry Fields forever
Living is easy with eyes closed
Misunderstanding all you see
It's getting hard to be someone
But it all works out
It doesn't matter much to me
Let me take you down
?Cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields
Nothing is real
And nothing to get hung about
Strawberry Fields forever
No one I think is in my tree
I mean it must be high or low
That is you can't, you know, tune in
But it's all right
That is I think it's not too bad
Let me take you down
?Cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields
Nothing is real
And nothing to get hung about
Strawberry Fields forever
Always, no sometimes, think it's me
But you know I know when it's a dream
I think I know I mean a yes
But it's all wrong
That is I think I disagree
Let me take you down
?Cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields
Nothing is real
And nothing to get hung about
Strawberry Fields forever
Strawberry Fields forever
Strawberry Fields forever.
As a young boy, John grew up in Liverpool, London and was raised by his aunt Mimi. she did not believe in children having too much fun. So one of the only things that John looked forward to every year was the annual Garden Party. This event was held at Strawberry Fields each year which was an orphanage run by the salvation army for boys. Strawberry Fields was a metaphor for John's youth and a place he visited in his mind as an adult.
