In the past many events have happened because of things that have been written. I want to discuss the radio broadcast story by H.G. Wells "The War of the Worlds". Even the events that this caused were due to the radio broadcast of the story, it was written to begin with. Wells created a tale that he told over the radio that spoke of aliens from outer space landing nearby. In the beginning of the broadcast a warning was given that this was fiction but many listeners tuned in after this warning. Wells' story struck panic in the heart of many Americans that listened to it. This incident tells us that we need to be careful of what we say....or write.
