No, I my opinion I think that a Nazi cannot be blamed for what they did during world war II. They believed that what they were doing was right because Hitler said that it was. They were brainwashed by Hitler because of everything that he said about the jews and how what they believed in was not the correct religion. Hitler was such a great and powerful speaker people actually started to believe what he was saying was true. But they are kind of responsible because they could have stopped listening to Hitler. But I think that they could not leave the army because they were probably afraid about being shot. They probably felt that way because of the way that he treated the Jews. They new that he was a very strong and powerful man, and if he said that you could not leave the army or you would be shot, they new that he would most likely follow through on his word.
When the reward of power is at stake people are likley to do things they dont intend to do. The Nazis wanted to be on top just like the rest of Germany, yes many of them were probably forced to be a Nazi however that is not true for everyone. Some people wanted to be part of Hitlers quest for a new Germany. Like Hitler they were obssesed with power and if Hitler said that Jews were the only obstacle in their way they felt no guilt in what they were doing.
However should they be punished? Their quest for power was influenced by Hitler's gift of manipulating people into believeing what he was saying. At this point in time Germany was most vulnerable. Therefore the people were vulnerable as well, thinking not about the well being of the country but for their own comfort. What they thought is what Hitler wanted them to think. Though they were creating their own mental table of pros and cons that does not justify the means, they chose their own path. The people that did not fall into Hitler's path, but were chosen have an excuse. They wanted to protect there family over people they did not know. However the people that chose there own path have no way out of the consequences that they chose.
If someone beleives they are doing something right, can they be blamed for it? Well thats hard to determine. If someone beleives what they are doing is fine, even though it it is extremmley horrible, thay should know better that what they are doing is wrong. They should be able to seperate good, from bad. Its like young kids, they now better not to stick their hand in the cookie jar. But then again, what if they REALLY didn't know that what they were doing was bad. You cant really judge that because you don't know what is going on in someones mind. But you would think common sense right?! They should act humane. But they could have a mental issue and might be brainwashed like the Nazis. They were told to kill hundreds of people and not have any emotions about it. They were in a way brainwashed by Hitler and his promises for more land and jobs and a better life.
Its hard to determine if people, like the Nazis, should be punshed for doing horrilble things even though they thought it was right. I am torn between. People should have common sense in situations like the Holacuast for example, and act humane. But on the other hand they might of had a phsycalogical problem. I can't really decide.
Hitler was mad with power, and so were most of his followers. They did mostly anything they wanted too, and many had no remorse. Everyone is responsible for their actions no matter what they do. The Nazi's were following orders but they should have understood that what they were doing was wrong. Some may not have wanted to do what they were told but if they hadn't they too would have been thrown in the concentration camps. It's said that so many innocent people were involved but it doesn't matter, what was done was done.
I think that someone can be blamed for something as terrible as this. This is because everybody should be able to tell the difference for what is right and what is wrong. If someone says that they thought it was right for them to kill three people we clearly would all think this person is insane and throw them in jail. However, in the Nazi's case the people were brainwashed into thinking that this was ok. This honestly comes down to an insider vs. outsider point of view because an aryan person in Germany at the time would think it is ok to kill the Jewish people, but the people in the US and UK knew that it wasn't (hence WWII). Therefore the decision is on which point of view you have but overall i think it is moraly wrong
Even when people think they are doing something right, they can still get blamed for it. Since the Nazi's were killing the Jews they should get punished and blamed for it, even if they thought they were doing the right thing. I think this because everyone has a voice to use when they have an opinion about something. Yes, Hitler might have convinced them that what they were doing was okay, but they still have to make the final decision on whether they want to do inhumanly actions to innocent people or not. In the end, I think all Nazi's should be punished for their bad decision making.
natzis were twisted and thought what they were doing was right. they believed killings the jewish people was right. everybody has different beliefs in what they do weither is wrong or right. but what hepls or makes them think more towards one of the options is a leader like hitler who made the natzis think killing jewish people was right. that the the germans would get more land for it.
A Nazi can very well be blamed for what he/she was doing even thought they thought it was the right thing to do. For an example, look at the Taliban. People are born, raised, and tought to believe in one thing. The belief they have may require sacrificing thereself to kill many other people, and they think thats okay. What they beleive doesnt make it okay for them. Some people may believe that teh Nazis are innocent because they didnt know what was going on but from your common sense you should know exterminating a ethnic group is not okay. If someone gave you a gun and told you to go kill an ethnic group you didnt know anything about you still wouldn't do it; The fact of taking ones life do there belief is wrong and would make you choke.
If there is no reason to do such violence? Of course they can be held responsible. Even thogh it is very hard to do some times you should do what you think is right and what is right. As powerfull of a speaker hitler is you should learn to overcome it and tell your self whats wrong and whats right. Dont let someone take control of your life, control what you think you should and should not do. Dont live your life like a puppet and let someone pull your strings, break the strings and do whats right.

I don't think we can blame the Nazis for what they did, because they didn't know it was a bad thing. The Nazis thought they were doing the world a favor, because Hitler made them think that they were doing something good. Also, I think the Germans didn't like the Jewish people already, so Hitler wasn't the only reason they did it.
However, they should have known that this was murdering an entire race. Burning, gasing, hanging, shooting, etc..... This is very disturbing, and some people do not understand how they could do this. Was it possible for them to actually kill these people? Yes, it was, and it takes a cruel, disgusting person to think about doing this.
